Years ago, I was asked to do an extended family session with 18 people. I was a little nervous, but have to admit, after doing the session, I loved it! To feel and see so much love in one place, with so many family members, was such a great experience! Over the years, I’ve had the chance to do many more extended family sessions. I’ve learned that not only is love felt, but so is laughter. I think it reminds me of my own family, just on a larger scale! In my own home, there’s an abundance of love and laughter…and we are loud, so it often feels like there are 18 of us at once!
I had so much fun with this family! I photographed Jenn’s family just a few months before so I already knew her crew, which was great because her littles knew me. Everyone else felt like old friends. Isn’t that such a nice feeling? The other thing I loved here is that there is a blending of families, some are new, some are old and some are even older. And there’s love all the way around.
